Natchitoches, La. watercolorist Clyde Downs exhibits his unique style of southwest art in ArtWorks, 101 S. Main in Hope. Store hours are 11 AM - 5 PM Tuesday through Friday and 10 AM - 4 PM on Saturday. Watch the calendar for dates of workshop/demonstrations.

Summer Arts


Classes in printmaking, drumming, watercolor, polymer clay, painting on glass, and other creative art activities are planned for children age six to eighteen. Hannah Blaylock & Eden's Edge


Described as "bluegrass on Ritalin," this group of acoustic musicians performs mostly original tunes written by members of the ensemble. The style is a creative mix of folk, Bluegrass, gospel, and country.

"70, Girls, 70"


SWAAC Community Theatre
"70, Girls, 70" is a musical by John Kander based on the book by Fred Ebb and Norman L. Martin. Based on the 1958 play "Breath of Spring" by Peter Coke, the plot concerns a group of larcenous old folks who steal furs from various New York City stores with the intent of using the proceeds from their resale to buy their Upper West Side retirement hotel, the New Sussex Arms, which is slated to be sold to developers.

Featuring the many musically talented musicians from SW Arkansas, the familiar music of Christmas and a sumptuous dinner make for a very special evening of seasonal entertainment for the entire family.

Duo Millenia


A wonderful and unique pairing of harpist Elizabeth Chardonnet and double bassist John Dahlstrand playing arrangements of Classical and contemporary music. The soothing, silken sounds of the harp intertwine with the rich baritone voice of the bass to create a musical vibrancy to be enjoyed by every listener.

Stardust Big Band


Stardust is a powerhouse 18-piece Big Band performing music from the Big Band era with emphasis on the arrangements of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, and Woodie Herman. It's a first-class trip into the nostalgic days of beautiful, popular music.
